One of the wonderfully perfumed and fragrant red grape varieties of Piemonte, Pelaverga is bright and red fruited on the nose with some serious tannin on the palate. If you like Langhe Nebbiolo or Freisa, give this one a crack. Highly recommend giving this a good decante and pairing with dinner - Porcini mushroom risotto with pecorino, perhaps?
