Vera Wine Bar

A neighbourhood wine bar in the heart of Hamilton, Newcastle

Vera Wine Bar is a small neighbourhood wine bar tucked inside Vera Wine Shop on Beaumont Street, Hamilton. We pour thoughtfully made wines from independent producers, with a rotating by-the-glass menu that changes every week.

Our vision when opening Vera Wine was to have a spot where people could buy a bottle and stay for a glass or two. We wanted our Wine Bar to be the sort of place we'd want to spend the afternoon ourselves. Somewhere you can wander in without needing to know anything about wine, ask questions, discover something unexpected, and leave with a new favourite bottle.

More than just a wine bar

Unlike a traditional wine bar, every bottle on our shelves is available to enjoy in-store. If something catches your eye while browsing, you can choose to open and drink it at the bar.

Our team loves helping people discover new wines they'll enjoy and making personalised recommendations.

We do not take bookings for the bar, so please feel free to drop in. If you are planning on coming in with a large group, feel free to call ahead and we can advise on the table availability.

The wine bar is open at all times the shop is. We hope to see you soon!
