After spending time in South Africa, France in the Roussillon with the cult producer Matassa as well as the US and New Zealand it was back in the Barossa where he settled. He started there years before with the famed Torbreck.
Back in South Australia, Dave worked with Pete Schell at Spinifex which gave him all the confidence he needed to start working on his own projects.
The first wines of Geyer were produced in 2015 and a few years later, Yetti and the Kokonut was started with friend Koen Janssen.
Geyer as a label is there, constantly testing norms but he pushes the boat out even further with the Yetti wines. There is a common thread between both labels though… they’re incredibly delicious and great bang for buck.
