The Tout Pres site gets it's name from the high planting density (tout pres meaning 'very cosy') with around 7300 vines per hectare. The close planting forces the vines to struggle deep and resulting in a super concentrated wine with structure and consequently the highest ageing potential. As with the other Pinot Noirs, it is whole bunch fermented in large format oak. This cuvée however has the power and intensity to soak up 100% new french oak. This is dark, sexy and edgy with minerality, spice and verve.
