Italian Wine Masterclass @ Vera Wine & Bar

Italy is one of the most captivating countries in wine. A patchwork of regions, grapes, landscapes and traditions, it offers an incredible sense of place in every glass. From the alpine freshness of the north to the volcanic slopes of Sicily and the structured reds of Piedmont and Tuscany, few countries show such diversity with so much character.

Join us at Vera Wine in Newcastle for a premium Italian wine masterclass hosted by Josh. You’ll be guided through a carefully curated tasting of benchmark styles from some of Italy’s most important regions, with wines chosen to clearly express the identity, history and flavour of each place.

Across six wines, we’ll explore crisp Pinot Grigio from Friuli, classic Soave from Veneto, textured Fiano from Campania, Chianti Classico from Tuscany, volcanic Etna Rosso from Sicily, and finish with Barolo from Piedmont. Along the way, we’ll look at regional identity, grape varieties, terroir and the traditions that make Italian wine one of the most loved and influential categories in the world.
