Silkman Masterclass @ Vera Wine & Bar - July 21st, 2026

Join us at Vera Wine & Bar for an evening with 2025 Halliday Winemaker of the Year, Liz Silkman of Silkman Wines.

Recognised as one of Australia's most accomplished winemakers, Liz has earned widespread acclaim for producing some of the Hunter Valley's finest wines. Silkman has built an outstanding reputation for wines of purity, precision and remarkable longevity, with a focus on expressing the unique character of the region. This special masterclass will take you through nine wines that showcase the breadth of the Silkman portfolio, from vibrant young releases through to beautifully matured examples that demonstrate why the Hunter Valley continues to produce some of Australia's most age-worthy wines.

A highlight of the evening will be the opportunity to compare the current release 2024 Blackberry Vineyard Semillon alongside the 2017 Aged Release, offering a fascinating insight into the extraordinary evolution of Hunter Valley Semillon. We'll also explore Silkman's Chardonnay program with the current Estate and Reserve wines before tasting the exceptional 2017 Silk Chardonnay, before concluding with three distinct expressions of Hunter Valley Shiraz, including both Shiraz Pinot and Reserve Shiraz.

Throughout the tasting, Liz will share stories from the vineyard and winery, discuss the unique characteristics of each vintage, and provide an insight into the philosophy and meticulous attention to detail that saw her awarded Halliday Winemaker of the Year.
