Collection: Amorotti

Amorotti is the work of Abruzzese grower producer Gaetano Carboni who shrugged off a career as a lawyer in favour of working on the family farm. His family is rooted in the agricultural history of the region, they were the first ever Italian exporters of extra virgin olive oil to the U.S in 1905. The name Amorotti comes from his Mother's maiden name - the Carboni/Amorotti family have been working the land for over a century.

While olive oil was their bread and butter (pun intended), they always made wine for their own consumption as well as selling grapes. It was Gaetano who began revitalising the vineyards and cellar, modernising and bottling wine under their own label. Neighbours assisted with clonal selection, barrel selection and overall guidance but the overall quality of the ancient vineyards and thriving biodiversity meant that little was actually needed to be done.

If you're curious as to how a tiny grower from Abruzzo makes wines that we rave about all the way in Newcastle, Australia. There's this thing. In their rugged little town of Loreto Aprutino, the neighbours are not just anyone. They're Valentini. This is baby Valentini! Accessible and available for a limited time only.
