Few things in life bring the mystique and satisfaction than that first whiff after pulling the cork on a bottle of Barolo.

Often referred to as the king of wine, the wines of the Barolo DOCG hail from a tiny collection of villages in Piemonte. Nebbiolo is the grape variety grown, and perfected, in Barolo and in it's simplest form offers aromas of red fruit, florals, dried herbs, charred wood and tar. 

Of the 11 communes that comprise the appellation, these can be broken down into smaller parcels of land, read: cru, known as Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva.
