Senior winemaker and General Manager of Hungerford Hill – Bryan Currie, has been at the winemaking helm for over six years.
Bryan graduated as a Palaeontology major and ‘followed the light’ into wine. Cutting his teeth in the industry as a cellar hand and moving through to a winemaking role at McWilliams. Accepted as a Len Evans Tutorial scholar for the class of 2007, he rubbed shoulders with some of Australia’s best! Sue Bell (Dux), Tyson Steltzer and Usher Tinkler to name a few. These are some of the smartest wines made in the Hunter, and we are super fortunate to have some on our shelves at Vera.
