Collection: Mount Mary

Set in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Mount Mary is a family owned estate crafting wines across 40 acres of vines. Their flagship cuvee, Quintet, does not falter as backed up by the superb 2022 showing "such energy and class" (WineFront). For the partnering white wine, Triolet, it's "complex and engaging" presentation is impeccable and shows the capacity of Bordeaux style grapes if set in a thriving vineyard of the Yarra Valley. 

Moving to the more traditional varietals of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, unfortunately these were the vines hit the hardest in the poor weather conditions of November 2021 with substantial loss across the plantings due to bad flowering. Fortunately the weather that followed was nothing short of idyllic ripening conditions. The warm and dry weather of Summer and Autumn has produced wines with great fruit power, structure and intensity. Both the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are showing excellent length and power.

With David, Sam and Claire from the Middleton family all at the helm of the estate, working diligently in both the vineyards and the cellar. We are at a pivotal time in wine history and the Middleton family continue to impress and keep their finger on the pulse with every innovation. Exciting times are ahead and we very much look forward to sharing the Mount Mary wines with you.
