Tyrrell's Vat 1 Semillon 2013

Few Australian wines demonstrate the magic of bottle age quite like the iconic Tyrrell's Vat 1 Semillon 2013.

Released as a vibrant, citrus-driven wine with piercing acidity, more than a decade in bottle has transformed it into something extraordinary. The fresh lemon and lime characters have evolved into layers of toast, honey, lanolin and preserved citrus, while still retaining the remarkable freshness that Hunter Valley Semillon is famous for.

With no oak influence, this evolution comes purely from time, a testament to the variety, the vineyard and careful cellaring. It's one of the world's great age-worthy white wines, proving that patience is richly rewarded.

We're incredibly grateful to Tyrrell's for allowing us to secure a small allocation of this remarkable aged release. Opportunities to taste perfectly cellared, museum-release Hunter Valley Semillon don't come around often, and we're thrilled to be able to share a few precious bottles with you.
